The Anton Procter-bred Inyati has disappointed in the past after showing good work at home but still races very green. There were no mistakes at Greyville last night as she was stretched to 1400m. She shows good pace at home so Duncan had been reluctant to try her over further but the extended trip did the trick. Keagan de Melo got her nicey place in third on the fence and although there were a few anxious moments as the pacemaker slowed it down and Inyati was forced to check slightly, she had plenty to come in the straight and won with authority. Inyati still raced green so once the penny drops properly she should be a horse to follow.
Inyati is a filly with a blue-blood pedigree so good luck to Al Khayl Breeders (Pty) Ltd who have a smart horse on their hands.
