The battle for the KZN Champion Trainers title is down to the wire and with just five meetings left to the end of the current season it is still touch-and-go between Duncan and defending champion Dennis Drier.
Duncan had edged ahead by five going into Saturdays meeting but Dennis cut that back to two with a treble on the day. However, Duncan fired back with a double and he goes into the final fortnight of the season with a four-win lead hoping to clinch his second title.
Both Duncan and Dennis have eight runners each at Greyville on Wednesday which adds some needle to the afternoons racing.
Stable rider Keagan de Melo has been an integral part of the stables success and rode two excellent races on Accidental Tourist and Russian Speed.
