Drageda has proved a frustrating horse to train. He shows exceptional work at home but has been found lacking on the racecourse.
However, a drop back to a sprint appears to have been the answer as he showed good pace throughout under Anton Marcus to land the third race at Scottsville on Sunday. While the race was a sprint, Duncan feels that Drageda is capable of going further and now that he has broken his duck and found the front at the right time, it could do his confidence a world of good. Good luck to Dave MacLean, one of the stables staunchest supporters, and our thoughts are with his sister Jennifer who is not well. All in the yard wish her a speedy recovery.
