Edge Of The Sun has been a frustrating horse to train, as Duncan says hes not the most engergetic and does only what he feels like doing. But Duncan appears to have got somewhere near the bottom of him as he ran a cracker at Greyville on Sunday. Mark Khan, now a regular pilot for the stable, had him well placed from the jump. He did race three wide but Duncan was happy with his position because as lazy as Edge Of The Sun is, he has a big stride and being caught on the rail would not have been ideal.
Mark only really let him go over the final 150m and he extended nicely to win going away. Good luck to stable stalwart Dave MacLean.
