Miss Suey rounded off Friday evening at Greyville with a fine win for the stable. Given that it was a race restricted to apprentice riders, one is never quite sure what to expect but Craig Bantam, recently back from Cape Town, rode to instructions and gave the filly a perfect ride.
Duncan had worked out that the Rathmor Stud-bred filly has a short finishing burst and Bantam waited just long enough for a gap to open like the Red Sea and Miss Suey scooted through to win comfortably. It was a smart win and just reward for some consistency over her past few runs.
