High Altar is a highly strung filly and not the easiest to train but she got it all together at Scottsville yesterday. Duncan explained that she is a big filly who takes time to get going and because of the programme he has been forced to run her on the poly. Not that she didnt enjoy the surface but because the Greyville straight is too short for her.
Helped by a solid gallop from the start yesterday, Muzi Yeni was able to place High Altar in the box seat. From there on he had the run of the race and the filly responded smartly to beat a useful field of males.
High Altar raced in the colours of Vanashree and Anant Singh along with Brett Walker and Backworth Stud.
