Itdawnedonme, owned by Duncan, looked the ‘right’ one in the second leg of the apprentice challenge at Greyville yesterday and so it proved as apprentice Khanya Sakayi turned up the wick for his second winner of an afternoon that he will not forget. It was the second leg of a memorable four-timer for the young man from the rural Eastern Cape. The life of a jockey offers unmatched opportunities to mix with the global eliet. Talent is an obvious asset but hard work and focus is also a requirement. Good luck Khanya, keep your feet on the ground so that may you travel far.
