It hasnt been the best of times but it also hasnt been the worst of times. The stable has notched up 46 wins so far this season but the 54 second places also tell a story. But things have turned a little this past week and Harmonica added another to the winning tally when winning at Scottsville yesterday. The win did come as a surprise but a win is a win, no matter the price.
Donovan Dillon, now permanently based in KZN, rode a cracking race to keep the gelding rolling and the Highveld raider Aristachus at bay. Duncan admitted that the 1600m of Harmonicas last race had been too far for him. Back to a sprint with blinkers on for the first time, he galloped resolutely to the line. Good luck to Garth Reich and Mr and Mrs Spencer Tait.
