Bloodstock Million winner Legend bounced back to his best form ay Greyville yesterday. Off for many months with suspected heart strain after his Million win, Duncan has nursed him back to full fitness and he won like the good horse Duncan always thought he was.
He was probably too far out of his ground, reasoned Duncan of Legends last race, I told Keagan to place him and see what he can do. He will end up going 2000m.
Keagan followed instructions to the tee had Legend handy throughout, taking the shortest way home and keeping running to win smartly.
Good luck to all the owners whose patience has been rewarded.
Duncan has been calling on the services of Anton Marcus more often of late and his booking for Green Fairy payed dividends as he rode an excellent race on the filly. With horses falling back on him on the turn, Anton elected to move out and go wide, giving Green Fairy a clear run at the wire and a victory for Chris Winter and Nicola and Marc Coppez now resident in Ireland.
