Grecian Laurel, after surprising all on debut, appears to have found her surface as Duncans filly out-dueled Laat Lammertjie in the seventh at Greyville yesterday. Grecian Laurels pedigree points to a bit of ground and the way she stuck to her guns under Mark Khan in a mile suggests that this may be the way forward.
Duncan has always rated the daughter of Ideal World and although she is already a four-year-old Duncan feels that she is still not fully mature. He still has high hopes for her and with Champions Season approaching she could find herself up against better class company. Good luck to Jessica and Stephan Jell and Mauritzfontein Stud who bred the filly.
