Girl On Gold has been a most frustrating horse to train but the stable has turned nicely in the last few weeks and the filly finally showed what she is capable of when winning on the Greyville poly on Friday night.
Mark Khan and Duncan have struck up a mutual understanding and it has paid dividends as shown by the results. Mark understands how I like to train and what I am looking for so it makes things so much easier, said Duncan.
Duncan has always had high hopes for Girl In Gold as she has a lot of ability except that her temperament often gets the better of her.
Mark had her in the box seat from the jump and although there was a lot of scrimmaging behind her before the turn, she was clear of the trouble and went on to win comfortably.
Dave MacLean has had three winners in the space of a week, just reward for all he has put into the yard.
