Duncan was officially crowned KZNs Champion Trainer for last season at the KZN Racing Awards held at the Elangeni Hotel in Durban last night.
Duncan and chief rival in the race for the championship, Dennis Drier, dominated the awards, in some categories only horses from the two yards being in contention.
Ten Gun Salute, now headed for Mauritius, and Secret Captain garnered three other awards between.
In his speech, Duncan acknowledged the work done by his team, assistant James Rich, Divan Neethling and stable rider Keagan de Melo as well as Cathy who does most of the gambling for the stable in buying good quality stock.
Duncan also acknowledged that Dennis is a hard man to beat in a title race.
