There is a fine line between winning and losing and jockeys often get the blame for making the wrong decision. But people forget that they have a split second to decide and its the good ones who make the fewest mistakes that are consistently in the winners enclosure. Mark Khan is a top rider and rode a pearler on Beat It on Friday night. Sitting well off the pace in the Jonsson Workwear Handicap he decided to head up the middle of a packed field. It proved the right move as Mark gave his mount on backhander and she rocketed through a tight space up the centre. Once in daylight Khan had a lot of horse under him and Beat It won rather well. Good luck to Dave MacLean and Duncan who was watching from JoBurg with Duke Of Spin in the SA Derby field.
